You’re invited…
Join Us In A Simple Monthly Practice of Reflection & Contemplation
New Moons is a monthly invitation to pause. To mark time in a way that feels more intentional, sacred, and connected to the natural world.
Rooted in the Islamic (Hijri) lunar calendar, each new moon you will be invited to participate in a simple, yet expansive, 20 minute process to slow down, reflect and connect to something deeper.
This space is open to Muslim and non-Muslim friends alike—anyone curious to explore a more soulful way of relating to time.
Beginning July 21st.
This is not a religious instruction course.
There’s no preaching here. Just community, contemplation, and care.

“Most living entities and systems on this planet obviously do not live by the Western human clock…
- Jenny Odell
As we enter 1447 AH with the new moon of Muharram (around June 27th 2025), I invite you into a different relationship with time—one that honors the unseen, the sacred, and the cyclical.
Full program officially launches in mid-July.

By Whose Guidepost Are You Measuring Your Life?
“Let not any one of you say, ‘Woe to time,’ for God is time.”
- Hadith Qudsi
Time is not neutral.
How we mark the passage of time is not a minor detail… it’s the foundation for how we relate to Life.
Under capitalism, time is marked in arbitrary ways…measured by productivity and urgency.
But our ancestors knew time differently…Time as sunsets and moonrises. Time as prayer. Time rooted in remembrance and reverence for Life. Time as Divine itself.
How It Works
Each lunar month, you’ll be guided through a simple—yet expansive— 20 minute process using a beautifully crafted workbook that invites you to check in across three key dimensions:
Heart: What wisdom are you cultivating, practicing, or witnessing?
Body: How are you tending to your physical well-being?
Spirit: How are you nurturing your devotion to Life, the Divine, or something greater?
Whether on your own or with others in our virtual gatherings, this practice will provide you with a steady container for contemplation.
Not sure you have time to engage with time? The New Moons process waxes and wanes with your capacity.

Who It’s For
Muslim kin
Who want to deepen their spiritual life by connecting with the Hijri calendar or who feel disconnected from their Muslim identity and are looking for other ways of relating with Islam in an inclusive community.
Non-Muslim kin
Who want to step outside of Gregorian/capitalist time and enter a rhythm grounded in nature and ancient wisdom—while also engaging with Islam in an experiential and respectful way.
Note: Belief in God is not expected or required. However, the Divine will be referenced regularly. Please consider if that language feels comfortable for you. ❤️🙏
