Thank you for journeying through time with us. Below, find a step-by-step instructions on how to add the lunar and/or Hijri calendar to your digital calendar, a playlist to accompany you while journaling, and a brief video tutorial on how to use the workbook.

Keep the lunar cycles present in your day-to-day by incorporating a moon phase/Islamic Hijri calendar into your digital calendar.

🖥️ For Google Calendar (Web/Desktop)

✅ To Add Moon Phases:

Go to​ Google Calendar​.

On the left sidebar, find "Other calendars" and click the + sign.

Select "Browse calendars of interest."

Scroll down to "Other" section.

Check the box for “Phases of the Moon.” 🌕

You should now see moon phases (e.g., New Moon, Full Moon) automatically appear on your calendar.

✅ To Add the Islamic (Hijri) Calendar:

Go to​ Google Calendar​.

Click the gear icon ⚙️ (top right), then select Settings.

Scroll down the left-hand menu and click “View options.”

Find the "Alternate calendar" dropdown menu.

Select “Islamic” from the list.

You’ll now see Islamic dates (e.g., 1 Muharram, 10 Ramadan) alongside the Gregorian dates.

📱 For iPhone (iOS Calendar App)

✅ To Show Islamic (Hijri) Calendar:

Open Settings on your iPhone.

Scroll down and tap Calendar.

Tap Alternate Calendars.

Select Islamic.

The Islamic calendar will now appear alongside the regular dates in the Apple Calendar app.

Note: Apple doesn’t support moon phases in the native calendar, but you can sync your Google Calendar (with moon phases enabled) to view them.

✅ To Sync Google Calendar (with Moon Phases):

Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts.

Tap Add Account > Google and sign in.

Toggle Calendars ON.

Open the Calendar app, tap Calendars (bottom of the screen), and check the box for your Google account calendar.

📱 For Android (Google Calendar App)

✅ To Show Islamic (Hijri) Calendar:

Open the Google Calendar app.

Tap the Menu ≡ (top left).

Scroll to Settings and tap your account/calendar name.

Tap Alternate calendar.

Choose Islamic (Hijri).

You’ll now see Islamic dates layered over the Gregorian calendar.

✅ To Show Moon Phases:

Open​ Google Calendar on web​ from a browser (not in the app).

Follow the web instructions above to add Moon Phases.

Once added, the Moon Phases will automatically sync and appear in your Android Google Calendar app.
